Hello everyone. This is Monica from Rendora Consulting Firm, presenting a user research report for you. This report presents the findings from a comprehensive study conducted among female consumers regarding their preferences and behaviors in the cosmetics industry.

The research aimed to uncover key insights into purchasing habits, brand loyalty, product satisfaction, and emerging trends in the market.

The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather a holistic view of consumer perceptions and behaviors towards cosmetics. A sample of 1000 women aged 18-45 across urban and suburban regions was surveyed over a period of three months.

First, Purchasing Behavior.

62% of respondents purchase cosmetics monthly, with 28% buying on a weekly basis. 45% prefer to buy cosmetics from physical stores, while 55% purchase online. 68% of women are influenced by online reviews and social media recommendations.

Then let's talk about Brand Loyalty.

Results have shown that MAC, L'Oréal, and Maybelline are the most preferred brands across all age groups.

Quality (72%), price (65%), and brand reputation (60%) are the primary factors influencing brand loyalty.

As for Product Satisfaction

84% of respondents are satisfied with the quality of cosmetics they purchase. The most common complaints include allergic reactions (22%) and product durability (18%).

Last but not the least, emerging trends.

60% of consumers prefer products with natural ingredients. 45% are more likely to purchase from brands that promote eco-friendly packaging and practices.

This study has shown the cosmetics industry continues to evolve with changing consumer preferences towards quality, authenticity, and sustainability. Brands that leverage these insights to innovate and communicate effectively will likely succeed in capturing and retaining a loyal customer base.

Based on the findings, we recommend that brands: first, enhance their online presence and engage more actively on social media, second, invest in product quality and transparency about ingredients, third, adopt sustainable practices to appeal to environmentally conscious consumers.

That's all for today's customer research report. Looking forward to seeing you next time!
